Bzigo Mozzie Hunter.![]()
This little critter catcher, made by an Israeli startup, is going for about $311, and it's the coolest gadget that I've seen for ages.![]()
For those who hate that buzzing sound in the dark, the Iris is your new best friend. It uses a wide-angle camera and some clever computer smarts to scan your room for those pesky bloodsuckers. It even has infrared lights, so it can spot them in total darkness. And don't worry, it's smart enough not to get fooled by moths or dust – sweet!![]()
When it spots a mosquito, it tracks its every move until it lands. Then, it shines a safe red laser pointer right on it and buzzes your phone app to let you know exactly where to strike. Got more than one buzzing around? No worries, the Iris will flick its laser between them. You can even set up multiple Irises in different rooms, all connected to the same phone.![]()
They can even add a telescoping electric swatter to help you do the deed. And get this – the Iris now has a special "Travel Mode" so you can use it even when you don't have Wi-Fi. You won't get phone alerts, but it'll still laser-point those annoying blood suckers for you. ![]()
Sweet, right?![]()

The ONOX electric tractor.![]()
It looks like a tractor without a motor, but with a big battery pack instead. ![]()
Sweet news for all you farming people! Say goodbye to those noisy diesel tractors because electric ones are rolling onto the scene. This German company, ONOX, has come up with a seriously sweet idea: modular, hot-swappable batteries.![]()
This means their electric tractor won't be stuck charging for ages. Just pop out the flat battery packs and slide in some fresh ones in about five minutes – how good is that? Plus, you can charge them up with your own farm's renewable energy.![]()
This beast of a machine stands about 2.6 metres tall and stretches almost 5 metres long. It can carry a hefty 3,675 kilograms and can lift 1,300 kg at the front and 3,100 kg at the back. It's also pretty nimble with a turning circle between 3.7 and 4.2 metres.![]()
Packed with four 50-kW electric motors, it can hit a top speed of 40 km/h and has a massive torque of up to 5,500 Nm. It can even power all your usual farm gear like mowers and diggers with its clean, quiet electric power shafts.![]()
It comes with a 20-kWh battery built-in, but you can add up to three extra 30-kWh swappable ones. These batteries can even be used as backup power for your farm when they're not in the tractor. They're still testing things out, but faster, more powerful versions are already in the works. Looks like farming is about to get a whole lot sweeter!![]()

Greattan D Cargo eTrike. It's a three wheeled eBike with a cargo holders.![]()
It looks like a normal mountain bike at the front with a small handlebar basket, and with two smaller fat tyres on the rear. ![]()
Addmotor's cooked up this super sturdy electric trike called the Greattan D, built to haul all your stuff, no sweat. Forget wobbling with heavy loads – this thing's got two massive 17.8 cm wide fat tires at the back for awesome grip, whether you're on smooth roads, bumpy paths, sandy bits, or even rocky trails. The front tire is a chunky 10.1 cm wide too!![]()
This beast can handle a total load of 227 kg, with space for 68 kg of cargo on its huge rear rack. Plus, the rear axle is extra thick, like 20% beefier than usual. It's got a 750-watt motor (that can peak at 1400 watts!) to help you zoom along, with pedal assist up to 32 km/h and a twisty throttle. You can even chuck in two batteries for extra range.![]()
Cornering's safe, and it's got 7 gears to make riding easy. The bouncy front fork and comfy seat with a backrest, along with those fat tires, should make for a smooth cruise. Sweet stopping power comes from Tektro disc brakes, and there's even a parking brake. You'll be seen with a headlight and a brake light that also flashes when you're turning.![]()
Addmotor reckons this isn't just a bigger trike; it's a smarter way to get around, save on fuel, enjoy scenic routes, or even start a mobile biz. They say it's one of the few three-wheelers that gives you power, range, stability, and enough space to carry loads that other cargo bikes would run from! It's going for around $6700 Aussie dollars normally, but you might snag it cheaper on pre-order for the single battery version, with an extra $1060-ish if you want the double battery setup. ![]()

The Klein Air Car. Yeah... It's a flying car.![]()
Klein is developing three versions of this flying car. A two seater, a four seater and an amphibious version. The Air Car looks like an aerodynamic sports car with a big spoiler on the back. Then flip a switch, and the 8.2m wings fold out and the spoiler drops back and becomes the tail. And inside, the steering wheel transforms into a yoke, and extra pedals control the rudder. Pretty sweet, huh?![]()
The two-seater has been in development for over 30 years, and it boasts over 500 test flights, and is expected to get certified soon. ![]()
The production model will pack a 3.2-litre V6 engine with up to 254 kilowatts (around 340 horsepower). In the air, it can cruise at about 249 kilometres per hour and has a range of around 1000 kilometres with its 160-litre fuel capacity. On the road, it can hit speeds of up to 200 kilometres per hour and travel around 800 kilometres.![]()
While it'll set you back somewhere between $1.2 million and $1.8 million AUD, depending on the bells and whistles, it's designed so that if you've got a regular driver's license and a private pilot's license, you're good to go.![]()
